What is Subtle Aromatherapy?
Subtle Aromatherapy (SA), also known as Vibrational or Psychoaromatherapy, is a holistic approach which uses synergistic formulas or single oils to heal your soul or psyche.
SA formulas can be successfully combined with psychotherapy, spiritual & psychic practices, reflexology, acupressure, yoga, breathwork, mindfulness & meditation, reiki, psychological self-analysis exercises, affirmation rituals, creative & intuitive practices, and many other activities or physical exercises involving self-study and/or mind-body connection, as well as help with the common basic mental health ailments such as stress, depression, insomnia, burnout, hormonal and emotional imbalance, etc. A combination of SA+Practice can can work as a more potent amalgam to restore and support your mind.

FORMULAS
Breast Care
Use the botanical blend for daily breast care massage, as well as for monthly self-exams with about 1ml of carrier oil or on its own (1-3 drops). The best time for a self-exam is right after the end of menstruation. Here are some essential steps for the exam: stand in front of a mirror, raise your arms, and check your breasts and armpit area with medium pressure for any abnormal changes (lumps, thickenings, or knots).
Breathwork
Use any meditative breathwork technique with subtle aromatherapy as a potent medium to help relax your muscles, reduce tension and anxiety, and improve your respiratory functions. Combine this practice with yoga or use it on its own.
Burnout & Fatigue
This is one of the essential Psyche blends to keep in your home apothecary. Use the scent whenever you feel mentally overwhelmed and weary. Combine it with other blends for a more holistic approach, such as Melancholy, Insomnia, or Rest, and pair it with extended periods of physical rest to restore your balance.
Clairvoyance
A modern approach to divination connects it to psychology; some psychotherapists even use tools like Tarot cards as part of their practice. However seriously you take clairvoyance, it can positively impact your psyche and mental health. Use any technique or tools you prefer, and let scent accompany you on your journey of self-discovery. It can enhance your concentration, intuition, and clarity of thought while drawing on the power of plants traditionally associated with psychic abilities.
Daydreaming
People spend half of their waking time daydreaming. Intentional daydreaming is more beneficial than spontaneous daydreaming, as it serves as an exercise in positive rumination. It helps organize your mind, enhance creative thinking, provide short mental rest, reduce anxiety and stress, support creative problem-solving, and imagine social situations to better understand your role in relationships. Aromatherapy can add a relaxing, calming, and mesmerizing ambiance to this practice.
Female Cycles
This blend of traditional essential oils supports women at any stage of life, helping to balance hormones and emotions while harmonizing and embracing natural female cycles.
Femininity
Conscious breathing, (self-)massage in or around the most intimate areas, and subtle aromatherapy are essential tools for exploring your body, enhancing your libido and sexual energy, nurturing body awareness, and tuning into the most delicate feminine sentiments.
Insomnia
Combine this blend with others, such as Rest, Burnout & Fatigue, and Self-Massage for a more relaxing evening and a calm night. Add other methods, such as tinctures and teas, for a more holistic approach.
Introspection
As an exercise, introspection benefits your mind in many ways: use it as part of your daily rumination to observe your thoughts and emotions and correct negative patterns. It can also aid in self-discovery to better understand your personal identity, fostering growth and self-exploration. Use tools like paper and pencil to write down prompts and questions, and incorporate botanical scents to enhance self-awareness, direction, and openness.
Intuitive Movement
This blend improves circulation, reduces muscle tension, and supports the respiratory and musculoskeletal systems. Use it in body oils before or during exercise to warm up the body, or combine it with practices like yoga or dance to improve performance.
Intuitive Writing
Journaling or intentional writing is a well-known exercise for unleashing creativity and unburdening the mind. Regular writing practices support skill development, while occasional sessions help organize thoughts and clear the mind. Use random questions and prompts (prepared in advance) to explore different topics, particularly those related to impressions about people, events, objects, or places. Enhance this exercise with botanical scents to foster intellectual concentration, expressiveness, and inspiration.
Melancholy
Use the scent whenever you feel mentally exhausted. Combine it with other blends like Burnout & Fatigue, Insomnia, or Rest for a holistic approach. Pair it with extended periods of physical rest and outdoor activities to restore your balance.
Menopause
A vintage floral bouquet and dry, earthy ambra create a beautiful blend suitable for perimenopausal, menopausal, and postmenopausal women. While experiences of menopause vary, these feminine oils are gentle and can help with sleeplessness, fatigue, anxiety, hot flashes, and more.
Nightdreaming
Dreams reflect our accumulated physical and emotional experiences. They can be positive, obscure, mystical, or even transcendental. Dream interpretation can enhance creativity, memory, and self-analysis of emotions and thoughts. Use botanical scents as a regular tool for inner vision and morning sessions to stay attuned and focused. Avoid sessions after dark dreams that cause discomfort, fear, or negative emotions.
Postpartum
This gentle antidote to maternal melancholy and ennui uses safe essential oils and techniques to transform feelings of inner fragility into natural poise and balance. It also supports libido and female hormonal balance (mental and physical).
Please consult your doctor before using essential oils during pregnancy/breastfeeding, especially in cases of postpartum depression.
PMS
Almost half of women experience PMS in some form, with physical and emotional reactions. To reduce its effects on the psyche (tension, stress, despair, depression, fatigue, insomnia, etc.), dedicate time to self-care. Aromatherapy can be an essential part of this routine. Use it in body oils to gently massage the upper abdomen, hips, lower spine, and bosom.
Prayer & Meditation
This blend can be used as a body fragrance, in a diffuser (consult your diffuser manual for details about using perfume oils), or directly on a diffusing stone, such as one placed on an altar.
Pregnancy
Aromatherapy can help you adjust to the hormonal and physical changes in your body, bring back emotional balance, and alleviate daily stress.
Avoid using aromatherapy during the first trimester of pregnancy. Always consult your doctor before using essential oils during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Purification
Essential oils have long been used for spiritual purposes, and purification is one of the essential modern rituals for the soul and ambiance. Use this blend in meditations to cleanse your mind and thoughts, as well as to purify objects, atmospheres, auras, and more.
Rest
Rest is a vital need for both mind and body. Ignoring this necessity can negatively impact your psyche. Take a few minutes each day to step away from busyness and relax. Whether you prefer to nap or spend time alone in a quiet place, the relaxing blend acts as a mild sedative for smooth muscle and mind relaxation, helping you restore physical energy and emotional well-being.
Self-Massage
Combine botanical aromatics and self-massage as complementary therapy (using your fingers and hands) or along with self-massage tools for reflexology, trigger point therapy, or acupressure. Best applied as body oil, this practice helps reduce stress and anxiety, relieve muscle pain and emotional tension, and improve sleep quality.
Workspace
What is your ‘sacred’ space? Whether you are an artist, craftsman, creator, or someone who cherishes a private nook, we all have places where we keep books, notes, gifts, and other objects that reflect our personalities. These spaces help us create, design, write, or simply have time for ourselves. Add botanical scents for a centering spatial experience to enhance focus, creativity, and artistry.
